Mark Stinson, Ph.D.
Dr. Mark Stinson holds a PhD. from North Carolina State University, a Master of Science from the University of Missouri-Rolla, and a Bachelor of Science from Purdue all in Electrical Engineering. He is a professional engineer with 32 years of experience at MEMC in various engineering and managerial roles. He has been an adjunct professor at the University of Missouri-Rolla. He joined Missouri Tech’s teaching staff in 2008 as a part-time instructor teaching upper level mathematics and engineering courses. In 2009 Dr. Stinson became the Dean of the college. Dr. Stinson also holds numerous patents.
Sally Dodge, M.A.T.
Ms. Dodge received her Bachelors’ degree in Economics and Mathematics from State University of New York-Stony Brook. She attended MIT for post graduate work in economics and completed her M.A.T. degree in mathematics from Webster. She was first employed by Missouri Tech in 2006. Ms. Dodge teaches mathematics and economics courses.
Earl W. Hodgen, M.A., P.E.
Mr. Hodgen received dual Bachelor of Science degrees in Mathematics and Electrical Engineering from Tulsa University in 1967 and 1968 respectively and a Master of Arts degree in Management from Webster University in 1987. He worked as an engineer and divisional manager at AT&T from 1968 to 1993. He began his teaching career at Linn State Technical College in 1993, where he was an instructor and program chair for the Telecommunications program. In 2003, Mr. Hodgen came to Missouri Tech, where he teaches mathematics, computer science, business and general education courses.
Merle Schmierbach, M.S., MMI
Mr. Schmierbach received a Bachelor of Science in Zoology and a Master of Science in Biology from the University of Illinois in 1975 and 1977 respectively. He gained experience as an instructor and computer lab specialist at an Illinois school district from 1992 to 2001. In addition, he is a certified Microsoft Master Instructor. Mr. Schmierbach joined the faculty of Missouri Tech in 2001 and teaches a variety of general education, business and Microsoft examination courses.
Scott Boldwyn, CETma
Mr. Boldwyn is an ETA certified Master Electronics Technician Number 51. He has a US Patent #4,965,492 for his lighting power reduction device. Scott has received letters of commendation from the U.S. Navy and the U.S. Air Force. He has worked in Engineering for 20 years in the following capacities: Senior Test Engineer, Senior Design Engineer and as a Contract Engineer in the fields of Aeronautics, Electronics and Data Systems. Scott is proficient in Analog design, digital design, Digital Signal Processing, CMOS Programmable Logic Devices and microprocessor design, and High-speed (RF) aspects of design. He is an experienced programmer in Assembler, Basic, Visual Basic, and C. Mr. Boldwyn is also well versed in several CAD and modeling systems including: Orcad, Microsim Pspice, Hspice, TopSpice, Pads and Ivex. Scott teaches electronics related classes at Missouri Tech.
Pankaj Giri, MCITP
Mr. Giri received a Bachelor of Science in Software Engineering in 2005. He holds A+ and SQL Database Administration and Design certifications and is a Microsoft Certified Information Technology Professional. Mr. Giri has been working with Information Systems since 1999. He began teaching at Missouri Tech in 2006. He teaches database, computer science and programming classes.
Alexandre Ionin
Mr. Ionin received his Bachelor of Science in Software Engineering in 2006. He has been employed as a Systems Engineer, Senior Programmer, and Senior Application Developer. He has been employed by Missouri Tech since early 2009 as a computer programming instructor.
Bharat Kandel, MCT
Mr. Bharat Kandel received a Bachelor of Science in Electronics Engineering in 2003. Bharat’s has earned numerous certifications among which are Microsoft Certified Trainer (MCT), Microsoft Master Instructor (MMI), Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer (MCSE), Microsoft Certified Technology Specialist (MCTS), and Linux+. Bharat was honored as the Association of Career Schools and Colleges “Teacher of the Year” in 2010. Bharat began teaching electronics and network administration courses at Missouri Tech in 2003 and now heads the information technology curriculum.
Steve Willis
Mr. Steve Willis earned his BA degree in Business with a minor in Marketing from Michigan State University in 1966. Immediately following graduation he served as a Field Artillery Officer, Battery Commander and Operations Officer in the US Army. His general education instruction at Missouri Tech is colored and enhanced by years of experience as a District Manager for Oldsmobile Division of General Motors, Senior Account Executive with A.O. Smith Corporation, US Sales Manager for Janco International, and owner of Eagle River Marine and Outfitters marina businesses in Wisconsin. He has been at Missouri Tech for ten years where his primary responsibilities are as Director of Career Planning and Placement.
