Objective
The objective of this program is to train individuals for entry-level jobs in electronics. Graduates of this program will qualify for work in the following areas as a technician: computer maintenance, communications, medical electronics, and consumer electronics. Upon graduation, students will receive a diploma.
Length of Program
The program takes one and one-half academic years consisting of three semesters, each including two 8-week terms. The minimum time to complete the program is 12 months (48 weeks, including breaks). Students must complete a minimum of 48.0 credit hours. The complete program consists of approximately 825 hours, which is comprised of 615 hours of theory and 210 hours of laboratory.
Requirements
The requirements to enter into this program are, at a minimum, a high school diploma or General Education Development (GED) certificate and a passing grade of 70% on the entrance examination.

On-time Graduation Rate
The on-time graduation rate is defined as the total number of students who completed the Electronic Service Technician Diploma program in the published minimum time frame of 12 months. Most Missouri Tech students are non-traditional and work while attending college. As such, many of our students are part-time and thus unable to complete within 12 months.
