Associate of Applied Science in Network Administration

Objective

The objective of this program is to train individuals in the field of network administration. Graduates will be able to install, maintain, and troubleshoot computer and network systems. Upon graduation, students will receive the degree Associate of Applied Science in Network Administration.

Graduates of this program will qualify for entry-level technical and managerial positions in network administration. Careers may be found in a wide variety of industries including manufacturing, medical, education, government, and the Internet.

Length of Program

The program takes two academic years consisting of four semesters, each including two 8-week terms. The minimum time to complete the program is 16 months (68 weeks, including breaks). Students must complete a minimum of 63.5 credit hours. The complete program consists of approximately 1110 hours, which is comprised of 795 hours of theory and 315 hours of laboratory.

Requirements

The requirements to enter into this program are, at a minimum, a high school diploma or General Education Development (GED) certificate and a passing grade of 70% on the entrance examination.

The on-time graduation rate is defined as the total number of students who completed the Associate of Applied Science in Network Administration program in the published minimum time frame of 16 months. Most Missouri Tech students are non-traditional and work while attending college. As such, many of our students are part-time and thus unable to complete within 16 months.
