Vincent Zerbonia

Bachelor of Science in Engineering Management Graduate, 2004

I was in my junior year of high school when I decided that I wanted to attend Missouri Tech. The small college and small classroom sizes fit exactly what I was looking for in a college. Days before I was supposed to start attending classes at Missouri Tech, my life became unbelievably difficult. My dad died three days before classes started, and I was in a very serious car accident. The staff at Missouri Tech was very supportive and helped me stay caught up with course work as I dealt with these terrible times.

At MoTech, I had a lot of good teachers, a great education, and was able to expand my knowledge to all sorts of ideas that are important in the business world, aside from just the IT side of the field. In addition, I obtained numerous certifications from Microsoft and CompTia while at MoTech, which helped me get my foot in the door.

I have now been working for the past three years for a large North American technology company. I started out as a computer support specialist, where I was then promoted to a service desk operations analyst. Because of the classes in my Bachelors of Science in Engineering Management, I had taken many classes in management and business, so I have now been promoted to Help Desk Team Lead, where I manage a group of service technicians.
