Missouri Tech Campus and Facilities


Missouri Tech is located in St. Charles Missouri, just across the Missouri river from West St. Louis County. St. Charles is home to a variety of interesting attractions, including historic buildings, specialty boutique shops, sports and recreational complexes, and lovely parks. Just a 25 minute drive away from the college is St. Louis, gateway to the west. The city is home to the Arch, Lacledes Landing, and Union Station. Sports fans can enjoy baseball at Busch Stadium or football at the Edwards Jones Dome. In addition, visits to the St. Louis Zoo, the Art Museam, and the St. Louis Science Center provide enjoyable cultrual learning experiences.


The college is housed in Country Club Plaza just south of Highway 70 on Highway 94. The facilities include large classrooms with the latest equipment, a library, a student lounge and administrative offices. Each classroom is equipt with a ceiling mounted projector connected to a computer to assist instructors in simulation based learning exercises. The Missouri Tech Library contains a collection of reference books, as well as banks of state of the art computers. The computers run the latest software on the Windows 7 operating system connected to the colleges Microsoft Server 2008 Domain. This software includes Visual Studio 2008, Office 2007, Visio 2007, and Expressions Suite as well as other applications. The student lounge has all the ammenities necessary for a student to relax between classes. These include refrigerators, microvave oven, coffee makers, tv, and even a popcorn machine. Financial aid, placement assistant, and Registration offices are availible on sight and staffed with personnel always ready to assist students. Apartment housing is availible within easy walking distance of the college.


Campus Resources


Missouri Tech maintains an extensive collection of resources to enhance the students learning experience. Course material can be accessed on a students laptop using the campuses high speed wireless internet connection. Each student enrolled in an IT course recieves the latest software availible because Missouri Tech is a Microsoft IT Academy. Our IT and Networking students use computers and equipment to simulate situations found in today's modern businesses using virtualization technology. Students specializing in electronics will have the opportunity to work with equipment such as circuit trainers, hydraulics trainers, programmable logic controllers, pneumatics trainers, logic analyzers, power meters, frequency counters, transistor checkers, curve tracers, signal generators, oscilloscopes, multimeters and component testers.
