Computer Technology Certificate (CTC)


Objective
The objective of the program is to train individuals in basic computer hardware and software technology. Upon graduation, students will receive a certificate. Graduates of the program will qualify for beginning-level help desk or computer technician jobs with any type of company that utilizes an IT department.

Requirements
To be admitted to the program students must have earned a high school diploma or equivalent and must pass the Missouri Tech entrance examination with a score of at least 70 or the American College Test with a score of 20. Class Schedule
Mon-Thu 8:00 a.m. to 1:50 p.m.
or
Mon-Thu 5:00 p.m. to 10:50 p.m.

Lab Hours
Mon-Thu 7:30 a.m. to 11:00 p.m.
Friday 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

Saturday 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.

Length of Course
The program takes one academic year consisting of two semesters, each including two 8-week terms. The minimum time to complete the program is 8 months (32 weeks, including breaks). Students must complete a minimum of 16.5 credit hours. Lab time for the complete program is approximately 75 hours; theory time, 210 hours.
