  This course covers the basics of the Linux/Unix operating system from the standpoint of users or programmers. Fundamental aspects of the Unix/Linux operating system including commands, utilities, the graphical interface, shells and shell scripting using the Bourne again shell, and scripting with Perl. These fundamentals will prepare the student for the course in administration.
