In this course students study various human
resource topics including hiring, training,
motivating, and placement. Company policies and government regulations are discussed. Students will examine mankind’s technological achievements in agriculture, building and construction, communication, transportation, metallurgy, textiles, power sources, and various domestic technologies from prehistoric times to 1900. Students will examine the relationship between science and technology, invention and innovation, and the social and cultural effects of technology. There will be units devoted to the Industrial Revolution, the internal combustion engine, and the role of chemicals and electric power.
