Associate of Applied Science
in Electronics Engineering (EAAS)


Objective
The objective of this program is to train individuals as electronics engineers able to design, test, and supervise the manufacture of electronics equipment. Upon graduation, students will receive the degree Associate of Applied Science in Electronics Engineering.

Graduates of this program will qualify for entry-level technical and managerial positions in electronics. Careers may be found in many areas, including computer maintenance, communication, medical electronics, consumer electronics, avionics, component manufacturing, instrumentation, and industrial electronics.

Requirements
The requirements to enter into this program are, at a minimum, a high school diploma or General Education Development (GED) certificate and a passing grade of 70% on the entrance examination.

Class Schedule
Mon-Thu 8:00 a.m. to 1:50 p.m.
or
Mon-Thu 5:00 p.m. to 10:50 p.m.

Lab Hours
Mon-Thu 7:30 a.m. to 11:00 p.m.
Friday 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

Saturday 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.

Length of Course
The program takes two academic years consisting of four semesters, each including two 8-week terms. The minimum time to complete the program is 16 months (68 weeks, including breaks). Students must complete a minimum of 67.0 credit hours. Lab time for the complete program is approximately 285 hours; theory time, 862.5 hours.
