Associate of Occupational Studies
in Electronics Engineering Technology (AOS)


Objective
The objective of this program is to develop students’ academic, social, and technical skills so they can succeed in electronics field-engineering and other technical fields. Upon graduation, students will receive the degree Associate of Occupational Studies in Electronics Engineering Technology.

Graduates of this program will qualify for entry-level employment as electronics technicans or field-engineers. Careers may be found in many technical industries that use electronics and control systems, such as manufacturing, medical, computer maintenance, communications, and consumer electronics.

Requirements
The program takes two academic years, consisting of four semesters, each including two 8-week terms. The minimum time to complete the program is 16 months (68 weeks, including breaks). Students must complete a minimum of 70.0 credit hours. Lab time for the complete two year program is approximately 375 hours; theory time, 862.5 hours.

Mon-Thu 8:00 a.m. to 1:50 p.m.
or
Mon-Thu 5:00 p.m. to 10:50 p.m.

Lab Hours
Mon-Thu 7:30 a.m. to 11:00 p.m.
Friday 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

Saturday 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.

Length of Course
The requirements to enter into this program are, at a minimum, a high school diploma or General Education Development (GED) certificate and a passing grade of 70% on the entrance examination.
