Tech's History
Missouri
Tech has enjoyed over 70 years of success in preparing
students for technical jobs. In 1932 Professor Charles
J. Schwarz founded Missouri Tech to teach the 'new'
field called "radio". As technology advanced,
the school also progressed, developing courses in television
during the 1940's and computer technology in the 1980's.
Today the school continues to update and refine its
programs to prepare students for jobs into today's demanding
technolgical fields.
Leadership
at Missouri Tech took a dramatic step forward in 1987
with the arrival of Paul Dodge as President. With over
twenty years of industry experience, supervising and
training employees in computer science, Paul brings
a passionate belief in the value of practical experience
to a theoretical education. Missouri Tech has always
benefited from an outstanding faculty and today is no
different. Currently the faculty is made up of leading
educators in their fields who strongly support Paul
Dodge and his vision for Missouri Tech.
