| Objective The objective of this program is to train individuals in the field of Information Technology. Graduates will be able to write and maintain software applications, troubleshoot computer and network systems, create and maintain databases, and work with a variety of applications. Upon graduation, students will receive the degree Associate of Applied Science in Information Technology.
Graduates of this program will qualify for entry-level technical and managerial positions in many industries which utilize computer and network systems, including manufacturing, education, government, the Internet, research facilities, utility companies and financial institutions.
Requirements The requirements to enter into this program are, at a minimum, a high school diploma or General Education Development (GED) certificate and a passing grade of 70% on the entrance examination.

Length
of Course The program takes two academic years consisting of four semesters, each including two 8-week terms. The minimum time to complete the program is 16 months (68 weeks, including breaks). Students must complete a minimum of 68 credit hours. Lab time for the complete program is approximately 420 hours; theory time, 810 hours.
