| Objective The objective of the program is to train individuals in basic low voltage wiring for commercial and residential applications, including audio and video systems, security systems and low-voltage lighting. Upon graduation, students will receive a certificate.
Requirements To be admitted to the program students must have earned a high school diploma or equivalent and must pass the Missouri Tech entrance examination with a score of at least 70 or the American College Test with a score of 20. Length
of Course The program takes one academic year consisting of two semesters, each including two 8-week terms. The minimum time to complete the program is 8 months (32 weeks, including breaks). Students must complete a minimum of 16.5 credit hours. Lab time for the complete program is approximately 75 hours; theory time, 210 hours.
