in Network Administration Security (BSNS)


Objective
The objective of this program is to provide students with a combination of knowledge, hands-on experience, and application of theory to information technology issues. The program keeps pace with changing technology by offering courses in areas such as routers, wireless security, database administration, and various areas of systems security. The curriculum emphasizes quantitative and communications skills as well as providing a foundation in business environments. Upon graduation, students will receive the degree Bachelor of Science in Network Administration Security.

Graduates of this program will qualify for entry-level employment as Network Administrators, Computer Support Specialists, Computer Systems Analysts, Network Security Professionals, and Computer Systems Engineers.

Requirements
Application is open to people who have earned Missouri Tech’s Associate of Applied Science in Network Administration degree or the equivalent.

Class Schedule
Mon-Thu 8:00 a.m. to 1:50 p.m.
or
Mon-Thu 5:00 p.m. to 10:50 p.m.

Lab Hours
Mon-Thu 7:30 a.m. to 11:00 p.m.
Friday 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

Saturday 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.

Length of Course
The program takes four academic years consisting of eight semesters, each including two 8-week terms. The minimum time to complete the program is 32 months (136 weeks, including breaks). Students must complete the associate’s degree plus a minimum of 65.5 credit hours, for a total of 129 credit hours. Lab time for the complete four-year program is approximately 480 hours; theory time, 1695 hours.
