in Software Engineering (SAAS)


Objective
The objective of this program is to train individuals in proven methods for developing and maintaining software applications and data systems. Upon graduation, students will receive the degree Associate of Applied Science in Software Engineering.

Graduates of this program will qualify for entry-level technical and managerial positions in many industries, including software maintenance and development, software systems engineering, database administration, and Web development.

Requirements
The requirements to enter into this program are, at a minimum, a high school diploma or General Education Development (GED) certificate and a passing grade of 70% on the entrance examination.

Class Schedule
Mon-Thu 8:00 a.m. to 1:50 p.m.
or
Mon-Thu 5:00 p.m. to 10:50 p.m.

Lab Hours
Mon-Thu 7:30 a.m. to 11:00 p.m.
Friday 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

Saturday 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.

Length of Course
The program takes two academic years consisting of four semesters, each including two 8-week terms. The minimum time to complete the program is 16 months (68 weeks, including breaks). Students must complete a minimum of 65.5 credit hours. Lab time for the complete program is approximately 345 hours; theory time, 810 hours.
