in Software Engineering (BSSE)


Objective
The objective of this program is to develop students’ academic, social and technical skills so they can function effectively in programmer-analyst, project management, and other related careers. Upon graduation, students will receive the degree Bachelor of Science in Software Engineering.

Graduates of this program will qualify for entry-level employment as practicing engineers. Careers may be found in many technical industries which utilize software and data systems, such as communications, the Internet, manufacturing, and medical.

Requirements
The program takes four academic years consisting of eight semesters, each including two 8-week terms. The minimum time to complete the program is 32 months (136 weeks, including breaks). Students must complete the associate’s degree plus a minimum of 66.0 credit hours, for a total of 131.5 credit hours. Lab time for the complete four-year program is approximately 435 hours; theory time, 1755 hours.

Mon-Thu 8:00 a.m. to 1:50 p.m.
or
Mon-Thu 5:00 p.m. to 10:50 p.m.

Lab Hours
Mon-Thu 7:30 a.m. to 11:00 p.m.
Friday 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

Saturday 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.

Length of Course
Application is open to people who have earned Missouri Tech’s Associate of Applied Science in Software Engineering degree or the equivalent.
